Notes & Commercial Description:

A light golden colored Franconian style Helles Lager. With a slightly sweet malt body, a noble hop profile and a crisp finish this beer is as traditional as we’ll ever get.

Tastes of over sparging and shitty water. Instant drain pour.

Poured from a bomber, drank from a pint glass.

Appearance: Crystal clear, pale yellow body, with a very frothy but quickly deteriorating head. 4

Smell: Really bright noble hops, strongly flowery. Sweet and malty. 4

Taste: Sweet and malty like a homebrew. Just a little bitter. Not all that interesting, but not bad. 3.5

Mouthfeel: Crisp and refreshing. Nice and 4.25

Overall: 3.8 Not bad, but nothing extremely special

Pours a dark golden yellow with a slight orange tint. Lightloy cloudy with a white and fluffy two finger head.

Roasted malt, wheat, herbal funkiness. Smells like the Midwest, not too great ;)

Roasted malts with a spicy herbal aspect that seems to linger a bit too long.

Mouthfeel is rather drab and mainly a slight funk malt smoothness with a crisp hop finish.

Overall it is clear that lagers are not a strong point for 3F's. They should stick to what they are good at IPAs, PAs, you get the idea.

A - Golden hue, mostly clear but with some particles, highly carbonated, with a moderate white head that reduces quickly.

S - Slightly funky, wheat and grass, malt sweetness.

T - Follows the nose, with crisp grains and fruit in the form of apples and pears, some spiciness, fading off to a subtly bitter end.

M - Crisp, clean, and drinkable, with great bubbly fizz.

O - An illustration of what a traditional brew would look like if done by 3 Floyds. Honestly, this kind of lager is not my go to drink, so while I thought it was well done, I probably would not opt for it again.
