650 ml bottle served at 65 f.
A-As black as strong coffee maybe even darker. A nice dark tan head coats the glass as I sip.
S-A lot of different smells going on. I smell marshmallow at first followed by dark chocolate and a distict raw meat smell that I pickup up in a lot of stouts. Maybe its the roasted malts. All in all a pleasing scent.
T-This has a flat cola taste to it followed by unpleasent bitterness to me. There is a big coffee presence followed by a little bit of sweetness. I must say I dont like the bitterness of this beer. Its like very burnt toast. I wish the sweetness was kicked up a notch or the bitterness was toned down a bit to make it more balanced.
M.F.-Its not as thick as you would expect but it has a nice creaminess to it that is easy going down. I would say the carbonation is perfect.
Drink-This is a wonderfully crafted beer by 3F but as with most of there products it is a bit on the bitter side. Which lately I have grown tired of the overabundance of hops used in beer lately. A year ago I probably would have given this beer a better score. But right now I dont think I would buy this again. I must say though that this style is very similar to a bourbon barrel porter at half the costs. Similar tastes and textures going on.

A- solid black with a 1.5 finger light brown head that never wants to leave. Soapy lacing and a still murky look as it settles in the glass. Exactly how this style should look.
S- Roasted oats, bark, and soft notes of chocolate. More lifeless than I expect out of a milk stout.
T- I big step up from the nose. A healthy does of roasted malts, caramelized sugars, and milk chocolate. Incredibly smooth.
M- The copious amounts of oats and lactose make for a creamy, chewy feel. Coats oh so nicely.
O- Other than my disappointment in the nose, this bad boy was done right. Drinks really well for the style, straight forward flavor profile, and smooth as can be.
