Poured into a snifter. Thanks, Darren.

A: Blackish brown. Very little head. A bit of tan foam on top. Decent lacing.

S: Anise and chocolate come in strongly with a bit of vanilla in the background.

T: Zing! what a pop! Chocolate, anise, vanilla and leather. Chocolate milk and lactose swirl around on my tongue. I could drink this like a Yoo Hoo. The 8% didn't really faze me.

M: Medium with medium, creamy carbonation.

O: An outstanding milk stout. But then, it's from 3 Floyds. Swing by the Korova Milk Bar with your droogies and quench your pie holes.

Poured out of a 22 oz bomber bottle into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a very dark brown color that lets in no light whatsoever and that has a nice dark tan/light brown head that is about 2/3 to 3/4 of an inch thick when first poured. head settles to a good solid 1/5 inch thick with good retention. Quite excellent lacing here too. Aromas of roasted malt and caramel sweetness that gives way to grains and oats and cocoa and chocolate notes. Has flavors of nice, roasted sweet malt, caramel, grainy and oat like cocoa/chocolate, milk sugar, and a slight hint of black coffee bitterness. Rounded out with a slight touch of hop bitterness on the back end of the tongue. Has a slightly crisp, but mostly smooth, creamy, and frothy medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Goes down very smoothly and the mouthfeel certainly has quite milk like quality indeed! Very easy to drink in all the right and good ways for a beer with an 8% ABV, as the 8% ABV is well masked indeed. Quite excellent all around here!
