Black with a dense creamy tan head that dissipated to a thin film. Slender light lacing.

Dark Roast coffee, dark chocolate, lots of roasty notes. Sweet caramel. Some spicy herbal notes in the background.

Rich caramel and sweet milk chocolate mixed with roasty dark coffee. vanilla and booze creep in. Coffee and resins give pleasant bitterness.

Silky smooth and creamy. Full body with some coating. Low carbonation, appropriate for style.

Very drinkable and delicious. Creamy milk stout with some roast to it.

Special thanks to funkyaudio for sending this.
Poured from a 22oz bomber into a tulip glass.

Pours a jet black with a thin off white head, with ruby highlight as it is exposed to light.

S: Milk chocolate, toasted malt, hint of dark fruit.

T: sweet malts, dark fruits, raisins, plums, prunes, semi-sweet chocolate, hint of coffee in the background.
M: surprisingly thin body, creamy, silky smoothfeel

O: A very nicely done imperial milk stout, very high drinkability , showcases the malts, and dark fruit character of this beer.

Look: Black and totally opaque with a 1/2 inch dark tan head and ok retention with some spotty lacing

Smell: Touch of lactose sweetness some roasted malt and a bit of alcohol

Taste: Your are greeted by a touch of alcohol backed up by some lactose sweetness the back end carries some roasted malt, licorice and chocolate

Mouthfeel: Medium body and mild carbonation and a bit silky

Overall: I honestly am not impressed with this beer. I found the flavor profile a bit muddled and sweet to the point that it was a more distracting than it was good. I am however glad I got the chance to try this beer but I will not seek it out again

Poured from a bomber into a goblet.

A: Opaque black color with less than one finger of diminishing beige foam head. Scant lacing remains on the glass.

S: Syrupy chocolate and heavily toasted bread are immediately detected. Minor dark fruit and a sulfurous quality are less pronounced. No alcohol is detected.

T: Begins sweet, with dark fruit and moderate acidity that is replaced by drier roasted malt and dark chocolate in the middle. Flavors develop an unctuous quality in the mildly bitter roasted finish, where a trace of tannic vinous fruit also linger. No alcohol is detected.

M: Medium to thick visccosity, slightly syrupy and astringent on the palate, with moderate carbonation.

D/O: This stout is fairly decadent without feeling overpowering on the palate. Chocolate and sweetness are major themes here, offering dessert-pairing opportunities without the usual attendant heavy booze presence of Russian imperial stouts. Score for flavor may have been even higher if acidity had a smaller presence, but the overall taste is still strongly positive.
