Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear dark amber color with a small head of white foam. The head fades very rapidly, leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heavy of a wheat bread smell mixed with a big showing of grain and yeast. Along with these smells comes a moderate showing of banana and clove as well as some notes of orange. There is also a touch of mustiness and some light bubblegum.
Taste – The taste starts out with a wheat bread taste that has some sweetness of orange and banana as well as some notes of bubblegum and caramel. At the same time there is a rather strong showing of yeast and clove, as well as some lighter spice of pepper and coriander. As the taste advances the sweet gets a bit stronger all while some light grain joins in. Toward the end there is a bit of grass and herb that join in, leaving one with a somewhat malty, wheaty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly more chewy with a carbonation level that is low. A bit more carbonation would have been better for the style and the tastes, but in the end the feel was OK..
Overall – A decent hefeweisse. A bit on the sweeter and more malty side, but flavorful and quite drinkable.

Well this was indeed different loaded with orange and coriander with a distracting hop bite. Not too much banana or wheat to really make it smooth Just a awkward beer all around. People seem to like it but for me I would rather take a traditional German Hefeweizen over this any day. Pass

This is not a hefeweizen! Way too bitter for a hefe. The banana and clove is overpowered by hops. I would label this an American Wheat brewed with hefe yeast.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a muddy river color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of bread, banana. Taste follows the aroma, some cloves are present, highly refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.

Just had fresh on tap @ Fiddler's Hearth, South Bend, Indiana.

Surprisingly cloudy! I didn't realize this was unfiltered. Had it a year or two ago in the bottle, this felt different; fresher.

Appearance: Almost like coffee + milk together. Completely opaque and near-orange in color. If someone told me this was a NE IPA, I would have believed them.

Smell: Typical hefe sweetness, maltiness, yeasty-ness and bread notes. Pretty much right on for the style.

Taste: Very good. Has a little bit more of a bitter 'bite' than a German hefe (like Weihe, Paulaner, Hacker, etc.), but it's not overpowering. Like if you mixed in a little of the crispiness of a fresh pils with a hefe. Definitely dominant hefe / wheat flavor, but just a little tiny bitterness that might be a three floyds thing.

Feel: Feels great when it hits your lips, ya know

Overall: I'd still pick some of the best German hefe's over this (or Live Oak's, which is pretty spectacular), but I'd still say they nailed it. 3 Floyds flexing here.

12oz bottle served in a tulip pint glass. No date on bottle that I could find.

Appearance: Vigorous pour to get the sediment to come along yielded a cloudy amber beer with a white head. Plenty of strands of persistent lacing.

Smell: Banana, clove, yeast and wheat malt. Spot on for the style.

Taste: A bit sweet, with a hint of orange mixed in with the clove/banana and wheat.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, nicely chewy, good carbonation.

Overall / Drinkability: A really good version of a Hefeweizen. The darker color is a nice touch and I think is bringing some caramelized malt sweetness. Easily drinkable and I would not mind another or a proper half liter of the stuff.

From a bottle.
A bit of smoke upon opening the bottle. The beer pours a somewhat murky golden color. I get some carbonation when I hold this beer up to the light. The head is slightly off white looking, and 2 finger. The head retention is decent, and there's some lacing on the glass.
The nose is full of the wheat aromas. Lots of banana and cloves hit my nose.
The flavor is full on banana and the banana doesn't let go. The cloves back up the banana flavor, and they just fit together well.
Very smooth feeling, and it feels slightly creamy. Full bodied.
I love a good Hefe, and this one is good.

12 oz bottle bottled 5/22/23 into a tall glass.
L: Pours glowing pumpkin orange with a yeast-hazed center, a 1/2" off-white creamy rocky head that slowly fades, good fine carbo, medium webbed sticky lacing.
S: Banana, caramel malts, apple, yellow sweet bread, a hint of honey, light bubble gum, light clove.
T: Apple, banana bread with clove, over ripe fruits, citrus zest, yeast, wheaty grains, wildflowers, peach. Gentle sweetness transitions to light tartness with a medium-length linger of zest.
F: Smooth, peacefully thick medium-heavy body with a bulbous center and a soft lightly dry medium-length finish.
O: Hits all the marks for its style. Round feeling, clear flavors, fruity and quenching. Not a crusher as it has some real estate in body. A full-flavored Weisse that is outstanding in its style.

12oz bottle. Etched date on bottle is 'BOTTLED 05-22-23'.
Cloudy, pale amber colored body. Two fingers of fluffy off white head.
Aroma of bubblegum and cloves. Malts seem to form a solid base.
Taste is banana sweet, with cloves. Bubblegum comes in later. Wheat tang throughout. Esters linger in the aftertaste.
Thicker than medium mouth feel. Soft texture. Excellent carbonation.
Sweeter than preferred but good ester flavors.

Appearance: Pours a mostly clear, slightly clouded medium orange color with a moderate white head. SRM of 12. (3.75)

Aroma: Mild aromas of cloves, bread, with a metallic and medicinal note. Hints of banana. (3.50)

Flavor: Strong flavors of bread, banana bread, some bubblegum and yeast with a dry finish. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation and finishes clean. (3.75)

Compared to New Glarus Bubbler 12/2022: Pours darker. More bread spices of cloves and medicinal aspirin notes. Less juicyfruit, yeast, bubblegum.

Compared to Utepils Ewald the Golden 12/2022: Pours darker. More bread spices of cloves and medicinal aspirin notes. Less orange and lemon citrusy and bubblegum.

Overall: An alright hefeweizen here and leans slightly darker and heavier than others. Leans heavier on the bread, banana, clove notes even with some medicinal quality that surprisingly fits somewhat nicely.
