A 650ml bottle from Nov. 2012 drunk 10 months later.
The somewhat gentle pour brings forth the sound of soda, a fizzing head like Pepsi. The head is quite big, 2" at least in a standard pint glass with only a 3/4 of liquid. It recedes fairly quickly but leaves a series of chunky, off-tan lumps of foam behind and the remnants of lace. The beer itself is cloudy though light still gets through if only in reduced amounts. An orange color with medium brown throughout.
Smell is hoppy, malt, spices, dark brown sugar with all the molasses overtones, with whiffs of floral and citrus and a touch of nut. Good balance.
Taste is very similar. Hops, malt, dark brown sugar (sweet & molasses), floral, citrus and some spices, mostly pepper and ginger. Phenomenal balance.
Medium bodied, medium+ effervescence, warming late and slightly drying. This is some good beer. Like a grown up version of an IPA, matured and in its prime. I wonder if a year of sitting caused it or the folks in Munster had it like this right out the door? Who the hell cares, it's great.

Appearance: Amber/light mahogany body with an ivory/light citrine head.
Aroma: Earth, pine, honeydew, pear - all with a somewhat sweet resolve.
Taste: Strong malt and hop profile. Hops are crisp and earthy, yet extremely smooth.
Mouthfeel: Moderately light and crisp with a smooth finish; piney aftertaste.
Overall: The first time I tried 'Broo Doo', I was not impressed; I found it dreadful and had to drain-pour it. That was a little over two years ago, when I was just introduced to craft beer. After having it two weeks ago with a greater understanding and appreciation for craft beer, along with a far more experienced palate, I can say that I was wrong to dismiss this one and relegate it to my 'shit list'. Try this and enjoy - you will not be disappointed.
