A: Light saffron color with a clean complexity. Scores of bubbles start from the bottom at slowly work their way too the top. Head is of a medium size, nice oatmeal colored bubbles.
S: Watermelon, iced tea, lemon zest, bagel crust and only the faintest pine in the distance.
T: Starts off with old OJ and zesty tangerine rind. These flavors are sort of watery and not necessarily explosive. Some of the iced tea starts to come through with green citrus flavors right on its heels. Some light cracker malts lurk under the surface add decent balance without taking anything away from the hops. As the citrusy hops begin to subside, the bitterness starts to take shape and slowly blossoms around the back of the tongue. At this time, faint pine and just a little bit of redwood show themselves and linger long after the swallow.
M: Medium body with a really straight forward mouthfeel.
D: Enjoyable beer with a healthy dosage of citrusy hops and bitterness. Good balance and a quality drinkability.

Appearance: Amber/light mahogany body with an ivory/light citrine head.
Aroma: Earth, pine, honeydew, pear - all with a somewhat sweet resolve.
Taste: Strong malt and hop profile. Hops are crisp and earthy, yet extremely smooth.
Mouthfeel: Moderately light and crisp with a smooth finish; piney aftertaste.
Overall: The first time I tried 'Broo Doo', I was not impressed; I found it dreadful and had to drain-pour it. That was a little over two years ago, when I was just introduced to craft beer. After having it two weeks ago with a greater understanding and appreciation for craft beer, along with a far more experienced palate, I can say that I was wrong to dismiss this one and relegate it to my 'shit list'. Try this and enjoy - you will not be disappointed.
