22 oz bomber poured into an Arrogant Bastard 23 oz glass. The beer is solid copper in color with a finger of off-white head that settles to a full coat over top of the brew. There is pretty good clarity here, and a moderate carbonation in the brew. The aroma on this one is really nice. I get a massive citrusy and candied hop aroma with a strong caramel base under it. The malt and hop sweetness really go well together. The flavor is slanted way towards the hop. Massive sweet citrusy flavors with candied hop undertones from the integration of caramel malts and citrusy American hops. The aftertaste gives some green herbal notes from the fresh hop along with a solid bitterness that clings well into the finish. The hops in this one are really brilliant, and this one hits a homerun for me in the harvest ale department. Mouthfeel is moderate with a light to moderate carbonation. Drinkability on this one is excellent. It is easy a session brew, if not prohibited by the price. Overall, I really enjoy this brew. One thing I do want to note is that 22 oz of this was 7 bucks at the brewery, while 24 oz of the SN Harvest this year was just over 3. Though I think this one is very very good, I would have a hard time grabbing this one when the SN was on the shelf. A great beer, but not my favorite price.
