Delicious. I could leave it at that, but for one: BA wouldn't allow me, and two: I tend to be a verbose asshole anyway.
The beer pours to a fairly hazy peachy color. Very little visible carbonation, but a thick creamy head sits on top. Decent retention and lacing.
The smell is mindblowing. Citrusy and floral amarillo. Kind of one dimensional, but this beer smells like walking through a hop field. Very intense.
The taste is very good as well. The hops are obviously the show stealer here. The malt is light and nondescript, but the hops are so unbelievably juicy and flavorful that it doesn't seem to matter. It's an IPA, afterall. The only thing keeping it from a perfect score is a big grassy flavor from the green hops. Also, it has kind of a crushed aspirin flavor associated with the amarillo.
The body is fairly light and crisp with carbonation. Bitterness is set off beautifully by the cracking mouthfeel. If it were possible to pack this much hop essence into a beer without using green hops, I think this would be the perfect IPA. But as it is, it is very good, but the green hops impart a little more grassiness than I would like. Can't complain, however, as it is still one of the best IPA's I've had.
