Notes/Commercial Description:
This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love.

bubble gum aromas on the nose.....?
super nice fruit and florals.... I see someone else else noted the bubble gum too? I thought that was weird. only got the distinct bubble gum off the great Belgians before....
what a great brew. special thanks to the guy who sent me this one... some great brews all around the country. too bad we have to dupe the shipping industry to get 'em there...

Pours a brilliant apricot hued golden yellow with a plump head of froth that leaves heavy lacing all the way down.

Bright notes of bubblegum, pineapple, pine, and caramelized sugar. You can smell this from a distance.

Bursting tropical flavors of cantaloupe, pineapple, mango, lime, and orange, balanced with a buttery smooth malt backbone that gives a burnt sugar sweetness, add a dash of pine and there ya go.

Mouthfeel is thick and sticky.

Overall one of my favorite harvest ales to note, definitely worth sampling a few times.

Awesome harvest ale, love the citrus forward flavors and that FFF dankness. Is it just me, or does FFF throw anise in the brew? Either way this is amazing.

Broo Doo keeps a very fruity nose with profound orange and citrus scents. The flavor keeps a fruity tone as the grapefruit, orange and tangerine mixes with a leafy, cannabis, pine, resin and floral tone. The malt backbone seems absent and doesn't provide enough heft to support the more hop-centric flavor. Overall, this is notable for its tasty hop character but misses a bit in its weaker malt structure.

Beer pours a clear, bright amber with a huge, white head that retains well. lots of bubbles visible within the beer itself.
aroma is wonderful, with a sweet, cake-like malt smell as well as lots of pine, citrus, and a hint of fruitiness.
Taste lacks the complexity of the aroma , but it is still delicious. very clean, with nice amounts of pine and citrus and just the faintest bit of malt that takes the edge off of the hops.
Body is light/ medium, quite crisp, and reasonably carbonated.
overall this is a very tasty IPA that will satisfy without quite filling you up. One of the best fall releases i've tried thus far.
