Notes/Commercial Description:
This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love.

Pours a sunset orange color with a two and a half finger tan colored head. Lots of carbonation coming off of the glass. Beautiful lacing once the head finally dissipates. Smells of bright fruity hops. Get a good amount of floral, along with grapefruit, orange, and mango. Some sweet malt presence as well. Not as resinous in the aroma as a lot of fresh hop beers. Unlike what the aroma would lead you to believe, the taste starts with a crisp, resinous bitterness. I knew Floyds wouldn’t disappoint in the bitterness category. Bites at the tongue. Then in the middle get some floral, mango, and grapefruit notes, as well as some toast, bread, and carmel from the malt. The finish really balances the bitterness with a sweet, creamy, piney, fruity finish. Getting lots of sweet floral, orange, mango, grapefruit, carmel, and toast. No alcohol at all. Dry bitterness lingers on the palate. Nice carbonation in the beginning then get a creamy, oily mouthfeel at the end. High medium body. Well done ipa and really shows off the great qualities of hops. Three Floyds delivers again.

a: copper with 2 finger white head. the latter recedes leaving behind frothy lacing.

s: piney hops & loads of citrus (grapefruit, orange, mango)

t: slightly bitter hops come first transitioning into mellow wave of citrus & ending with some maltiness

m: slightly juicy though not as much as other wet hop IPAs I've had. med-high carbonation dry finish

o: Decent harvest ale but definitely not among the best I've had. Unfortunately the taste is muted in comparison to the nice aroma.

Broo Doo was poured from a 22oz bomber into a pub glass. This is the epidome of the FFF taste profile. Excellence...

Appearance - Hazy copper that hold a terrific 1 1/2 inch head with solid lacing on the glass to the bottom.

Smell - Piney nose right up front with a soft bit of orange citus hoppy aroma. You know this is FFF right away.

Taste - soft bitter hops, citra up front with a very smooth slight malt bill, its a crisp break from start to finish with no aftertaste - so drinkable its almost a perfect summer beer

Mouthfeel - oily ... feels heavy but the crisp finish sums up the beer

I could drink this beer consistently, the bomber went down easily with no problem - cant wait to drink again

Broo Doo is all about the dank hops. A punch of spicy, herbal, oily hops from the nose to the finish. One of the most pungent IPAs I've ever tasted. If you love the upfront, earthy qualities of wet hop ales, then this is your beer. I really enjoyed it for what it is: an unadulterated expression of raw hop goodness.
