Bottle into Sam Adams sensory glass.
Pours slightly hazy copper, nice color, thin off-white head without much retention. No real lacing either. It gets a 3.0 simply because of how overvalued appearance is.
Nose is quite nice - toasty bread, bit of alcohol, rich fruitcake with hints of almost cinnamon spiciness in there. Beautiful beer.
Taste follows the flavor. Over-ripe fruitiness wrapped in caramel, a bit of spicy alcohol, and an earthy noble hop presence that's never explicit - just a nice, subtle earthy underlying bitterness that never actually turns into a real flavor so much, always sitting underneath the malt notes.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lightly carbonated, with a beautifully light dryness from the alcohol. Nicely drinkable, but not exceptionally so.
