Served in a snifter at the brewpub.
Finding this was still on-tap was the major victory of the Three Floyds Brewpub Experience today. It pours a murky burnt sienna topped tonsure-style by a ring of glowing off-white foam. The nose comprises bourbon, a healthy amount of maple syrup, vanilla, oak, molasses, and caramel. The taste does not deviate very far from this plan, though the maple syrup and molasses are decidedly diminished, and some light clove and nutmeg notes find their way into the mix. The body is a hefty medium, with a light carbonation and a kinda chewy feel. Overall, I was a bit disappointed that the base barleywine was so o'ershadowed by the barrel-aging, but the end product here remains pretty dern good regardless.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. 2013 bottle. #590/1696.
Appearance - Murky brown body. Small khaki head. Medium collar.
Smell - Very oaky. Vanilla. Faint grapefruit hop. Caramel malt. Not a lot of whiskey to it, but a lot of barrel.
Taste - Again, a faint grapefruit. Then whiskey takes over. Oaky. Caramel and vanilla. Boozy.
Mouthfeel - Medium heavy. Medium carbonation. Boozy and bitter.
Overall - It's a little rough around the edges, but very tasty.

This pours like a liquid brownie with a deep brown hue and a torrid thickness.
The nose is full of bourbonesque tones with fudgey chocolate, vanilla, coconut and a caramel malt aroma.
The flavor translates the nose in a strong creamy bourbon, fudge, chocolate, vanilla, coconut and caramel.
The feel is nearly as thick as it appeared with a near chewiness, smooth ans velvety.
I love Behemoth but Damn, they actually improved on it
