12oz bottle, purchased on the black market in Ohio ;)
*yes, this was fresh, not old stock - a case was brought to a local place that hooks up regulars with grey market products at a reasonable price*
Looks nice, copper orange with a small white film of a head. Decent lace too. I would have liked a touch more head on pour and a touch better retention, but nice looking beer.
Smell is wonderful. I love APA's that lean to the hoppy side, and this is one that does. A nice citrus hop profile gives orange, peach, and grapefruit impressions.
Taste is fan-freaking-tastic. Nice caramel malt base is clean, sweet and solid. The hops are perfect, not ruinous, but just well integrated and, while strong, not brutal. Like Conan the Barbarian in a tuxedo.
Mouthfeel is just a touch flat. Weird, everything else I've ever had from FFF is spot-on. But not dead, just a bit undercarbed. Body is medium and great for the style.
Drinkability is excellent. A premier product from one of the best breweries in the world.
