Poured a copper amber color with a thin off-white head that faded quick and left decent lacing.
The smell is hoppy and bitter. Maybe a little pine and citrus.
The flavor is tart and citrusy with a floral taste to boot. There's almost a perfumy candy flavor, for lack of a better description. That flavor pushes the border of off-flavor but is actually kind of nice and distinctive.
The mouthfeel is punchy and assertive. The hops and carbonation let your mouth know this is a real ale. But the punchiness quickly dissolves into a solid shot of distinctive flavor.
If you like the pale, hoppy ales, you'll like this one. It's highly drinkable for the style.
