Clear orange, lighly tan head, nice lacing anda few floaties. Fresh, and very fresh, fruity/hoppy aroma. Big hop flavors roll over some nice malts with a big hop bitter finish. The hops linger nicely. Very creamy mouth feel. Very drinkable and quenching. THis is a great session brew, and a welcome addition to my cellar!

Notes from 10/13/10

A:Pours a solid non see thru ruby/orange color with a solid fluffy white head that slowly dies down, leaving nice lacing down the glass

S:Strong citrus and fruit hops coming thru in the nose along with some sweet caramlized malts. Very inviting

T:Just as smell detects sweet malts up front making way for a explosion of hops
in the middle and backend of the drink. A nice bite of hops lingers on the tongue.

M:A solid full body with excellent carbonation. Nice stickiness is left lingering around
on the palate

D:Sometimes I take for granted that FFF is readily available to me. Great smell/taste,
easy drink, and hands down the best APA I have had so far (to me its more like, and
better than most, IPA's) Another great brew from those bros in Munster.

*150th Review*

"Alpha King drink this beer all day!"

Well, I would if I had easy access to it. Anyway!

Appearance: A brown/copper color with a nice, bubbly, somewhat tan head. Lacing's patchy, but it has a great, clear appearance overall.

Smell: What do I say? It has a brilliant malty and hop balance. On one sniff it smells of caramel sweetness, and on the next it smells of hoppy deliciousness. Extremely inviting.

Taste/feel: Just an awesome beer. The most dominant flavor that I get is of a quality, caramel malt on the start. The finish is super clean, and offers a burst of fresh hops. Not only is this beer pretty much perfectly balanced, it has an outstanding flavor. There's virtually no aftertaste, which makes me want to keep going back for another sip. Alpha King's a worthy flagship beer at Three Floyds, and one of my absolute favorite beers overall. I can only hope that they ship this stuff to Michigan some day soon.

A- Cloudy reddish-brown lacing that sticks to glass when turned. There's about 3 fingers of head.

S- Sweet citrus and grassy hop notes stand out with a decent amount toasted malt.

T- Maltiness w/ sweet hoppy tastes. There's a great after taste that is kind of biscuity.

M- Full feel that covers the palate and is not too bitter with good balance.

D- Very pleasant taste make this beer one to drink on a regular basis.
