Pours a slightly hazy golden peach color with a solid quarter inch cream head that leaves sheets of lacing.
Aroma is grainy caramel malt, with slightly dank, skunky hop aroma, followed by grapefruit.
Grapefruit dominates the flavor throughout, with almost sweet toasted, borderline chocolate notes. Alcohol is fairly evident. There's a minty, herbal tea, slightly bitter hop finish. Hints of apricot and resin surface, adding complexity.
Body is moderate, with moderate carbonation. Alcohol warmth closes out the mouthfeel.
Overall, a very hop forward brew with an interesting underpinning of toasted oak. Not aggressively bitter like an American ipa, but very citrusy.
Serving type: on-tap
