22 oz bomber poured into Spiegelau IPA glass
A: 4.25 Clear as could be. Poured with 3 fingers of head that reduced slowly and painted lacing all over the glass.
S: 3.75 Very warm and inviting, slightly burning sensation. A noticeable strong malt backbone takes 2nd role.
T: 3.75 Reverse the aroma, the malt takes lead in taste. There is an expected dominant bitterness, finishes very dry. I didn't pay attention to the ABV prior to taking notes, and the 8.5% doesn't surprise me. No necessarily good or bad, just fitting.
M: 4.0 The carbonation accentuates the malt flavor quite nicely. With a dry finish, it leaves you wanting more very quickly, which is a strange twist for 8.5%.
O: 4.0 This is one that I'm very glad I had, but I won't be seeking out again. I'm always amazed at just how clear 3F gets their brews, and this is no exception. This is a very good beer, nicely balanced in flavor.
