22oz bottle from The Beer Trappe in Louisville, Kty.
Pours hazy, dark copper with an inch-plus of beige foam. A partial skim coat and tattered lacing for the duration of the glass.
Earthy, spicy hops with oaky notes, ripe malt, and a minerally meatiness start the nose. Hints of roasted nuts, burnt biscuits, and some toffee follow through.
Medium bodied with a crisp, minerally mouthfeel.
Plump, juicy malt laced with gypsum leads off the palate. Piney, spicy, earthy hops step forward along with an oaky dryness and toasted grains.
Finishes malt-forward with plenty of earth-rubbed pine, a mild bitterness, and a hint of butterscotch.
Another great beer from FFF.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a pint glass. No dating info but it was a May release and my friend bought at the brewery so it's good. It was a slightly hazy orange amber color with good carb streams. It had about a finger of head that slowly settled to a good collar and covering film. Good lacing with some sticking.
The aroma was the expected English aromatic hops but also a lot more sweet, caramel malt than I expected. No alcohol present. The taste again had a good English hop bite but had too much of the sweet malt for my taste. Needed some more hop to malt balance. Definitely drinkable but just didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped. Medium mouthfeel with carbonation and a very sweet aftertaste.
Overall, a good but not great beer for me. Just too sweet as it overshadows the hops. Not avail here - got from Hoss, many thanks! Rotation: glad I tried it but one was enough.
