Pours out a really dark thick black liquid with 1/2 finger of tan suds. Lots of lacing here.
Smell is sweet molassas and charred malts. A fruity raisin/plum aroma comes into play as it warms up. NO alcohol in the nose. Pretty nice for a 9.00%er.
Taste is bitter coffee and strong dark chocolate with a sweet caramel sugar in the background.
No alcohol here either.
Mouthfeel is darn near perfect. Sweet and bitter then dry making you lift the glass back to the mouth.
Drinkability is very good here too. You really can't tell you are drinking a strong abv porter.
Very good job Three Floyds.

Oh yea, the spelling is Wytch fyi.

(Served in a tulip glass)

A- This beer pours a jet black body with a thick creamy bubbly tan head and a gentle carbonation supporting it.

S- The charcoal aroma blend with black roasted malt and it has a very mellow quality.

T- The inky roasted black malt has some chalky coffee bean hints to it with a mellow roasted char note in the finish. There is a bitter note that lingers for a moment in the finish. There is a hint of rubber balloons flavor that comes through as the beer opens up but it doesn't overpower the other flavors.

M- This beer has a medium light mouthfeel with a gentle alcohol warmth when it warms.

O- This beer has nice dark char notes in a big but nice drinking porter with a much softer hop profile that remember.

Pours a dark amber with about a half inch of head. I'd really appreciate more head, but with a growler fill carbonation goes down hill in a hurry. The smell is nothing special. SOme roasted malt and that's about it. The taste is unique IMO. Malty with a lot of hop flavor without excessive bittering. It tastes a little too hoppy for a baltic porter but the mouthfeel is great. It reminds me of a hoppy choclate shake. I'm not doing justice to the flavor, but it really is a great drinker.

Although no bottle date; this was purchased last October 2012.

Pours a very dark brown with a scant head.

Balsamic sweetness and soy sauce prominent on the nose. Subtle roast, salted caramel, cocoa powder and raisin.

At cooler temps, the hops enrap the tongue in a numbing sensation-love it. Wonderful dark cocoa bar, bitter vanilla extract and roasted marshmallow. Warmer temp provides subtley to the aforementioned in silky fashion and more smokey quality emerges. Warming alcohol underlying all.

Prickly carbonation enlivens the hop quality. Chocolate, caramel and toasty marshmallow linger.

Darn good Baltic Porter with a FFF signature to it. I've had a few but I wanted to put a year on this one-glad I did.
