Consumed from a bomber I'd been saving for awhile. Poured into a snifter large enough for a good 12 oz pour.

Virtually no head with a tiny ring of cream near the top that quickly dissipated. Beautiful light red and deep orange color at top of glass giving way to a medium yellow at the bottom. Almost like a grapefruit juice giving way to hazy lemonade.

Interesting flavor; mostly notes of peach and citrus flavors, hints of hops and malts throughout with the malt coming out more. Somewhat unusual for something tabbed an IPA as I found a noticeable lack of hops. That did not detract from the beer as it made it somewhat more drinkable and definitely disguised the alcohol. Booziness was at a minimum but at times noticeable. Nothing that would detract from the beverage.

Overall an enjoyable beer. It's possible I let this one sit for too long as I question the intention with the name and anniversary status but thoroughly enjoyable.

Yep, a bit late on this one. Oh well, take it for what its worth.

A - Pours a clear rusty brown with an inch of foam that quickly faded.

S - As expected, the hops are gone, whats left is a sweet malty aroma. I'm still picking up a bit of pine.

T - well almost all of the hops are gone, yet there is still a hint of pine and citrus overtop of the malty background. Surprising after all this time. i'm also picking up some brown sugar and lemon.

M/D - medium bodied with still with good carbonation. Its definitely well past its prime and I wish I could have tried it fresh. So take my ratings with a grain of salt. I'll try to curve higher.

I know, I know, this IPA came out two years ago but I had to buy it to try it. It looks great. It poured a dark apricot orange in color with a one finger off white head. The hops have completely fallen out. It still smells solid, all things considered. It smells very sweet and has light apricot and citrus notes. It kind of reminds me of De Ranke XX Bitter past its best by date. It's still solid, just not a bold IPA that I'm sure it once was. It's still got slight, multidimensional flavors and it's better than a lot of fresh IPAs I've had. It drinks very smoothly right now with little carbonation. This beer is drinkable now but I'm sure it was much better fresh. Still at this point it's solid, not spectacular and definitely not bad.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber orange color like apricot with an offwhite 1 finger head. The first thing I smell is the malty backbone, which surprised me as I would have expected the hops aroma to take a more promounced center stage. The hops I do smell are very citrusy. Velvety medium mouthfeel. This is a pretty sweet beer, not like sweet awesome, but very malty to me. The hops kick in about midway to the end of your sip with a nice citrus rid taste. I really wish this had been done with more hops to better balance out the malt.

Poured into tulip.

Pours 1/2 finger of off-white head. Color is a clear copper gold. Fades to a ring. No lace.

Aroma: A somewhat muted nose. Pine hops. Citrus flavors. Caramel malt. Kind of sweet. Has a brown sugar scent as well.

Taste: Pine bittering hops. Caramel malt. Definitely reminds me of a midwest ipa. Light fruit notes with oranges standing out.

Mouthfeel: Bitter, but creamy. Medium bodied with a low to medium amount of carbonation. Ends dry and sticky.

Overall, I am guessing this has faded off a bit, but it still was fairly hoppy. Plus it is a midwest IPA, so malts aren't uncommon. Average drinkability.

22oz bomber courtesy of imperialking thanks homie

A: poured an apricot that was a blend of orange and yellow that had a very thin collar of head with virtually no lacing sticking to the glass.

S: I guess I got this beer too late cause the nose is way maltier than anything else and hardly any hop presence. I did get faint notes of apricots and peaches with hint of citrus but also caught whiffs of caramel and tea like characters.

T: upfront the malt was the main attraction due to the age on this bottle I'm guessing but to my surprise it still had some fruity flavors that consisted of tangerines and apricots. The hops were pretty much done and could not be found on the taste. I did get caramel and faint citrus notes.

M: medium body with absolutely no carbonation that was probably due to how long this IPA had been sitting around before I got it but also had a swett fruity and malty finish.

D: It drank very good but now I'm sad that I didn't get to try it when it was at its prime. Oh well I stay on the west coast and have plenty of options when it comes to IPA's.

Pour is a hazy orange-peach-apricot, nice head but no lacing. Looks great. Aroma is a pleasant and inviting hoppy-malt mixture, a bit floral and wheaty. Taste is more caramel and malt than hops, and again a bit floral. Mouthfeel is nice and creamy, very drinkable. Nothing to make it a special/anniversary offering though. Very much a summer beer.
