bamadog was kind enough to split this bomber with me my last night in Cincy before moving. This was a seriously great way to celebrate!
Appearance: Pours a really nice honey burnt-orange with some hazy cloudiness throughout. Looks very reflective and holds a 1/2 finger well-retained super sticky white, frothy head.
Smell: Mmmm - smells delicious, juicy and mouthwatering. Light, sweetly bitter citrus, chewy grains and slightly floral honey. There's something else in here that I recognize but can't get...wait for it...pineapple! The pineapple juice comes through loud and clear in the aroma and smells amazing.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Feel is very full, soft and filling. The hops come through a little more bitter in the taste than in the smell and are balanced really well with a toasted caramelly malt and grain. It is sweet, bitter and toasted all at once. Alcohol is incredibly well-masked and only eeks out in the vapors at the end.
Drinkability: Amazingly high. The taste is so delicious and well-balanced, paired with a surprisingly full, light and refreshing feel.

Pours a dark gold with full off white head. Aroma is nice with some fruity citrus hops, a touch of bread, and some sweetness from the lactose sugars. Not a fan of alcohol showing itself in IPA's and there is a ton present here, makes it hard for me to notice much else in the flavor like the citrus, florals, or sugars. A creamy mouthfeel. Overall, maybe a result of my personal preferences but the alcohol presence in this was a killer for me. I typically stay away from any (I)IPA that is 10% abv or greater because of the heat they can bring, but gave this a chance because of the inclusion of the lactose sugars had me curious. Bad choice on my part, not a fan at all and dumped most of my bottle.
