22 oz bomber that I had to trade for, but I forgot who I traded with, sorry. I poured this one into my perfect pint after it sat outside of the fridge for 15 minutes to warm a touch. No bottling info.
Appearance: A hazy straw yellow with a white cap of foam sitting atop.
Smell: Mainly malts, wheat, and yeast. This beer almost smells bready. The yeast kicks in strongly because the other usual smells (hops) are not very strong. A light general spiciness is also present.
Taste: A clove like spice up front mixes with a solid wheat. A light sweetness throughout. A lingering light bitterness on the finish. This one is interesting to me because it is at the same time bitter and sweet, without being a stout or made with cocoa.
Mouthfeel: The carbonation is on the low side, but that adds to the softness of the body, which is in the middle of the thickness range.
Overall: I think this is a solid saison. There are only a few examples produced in Utah, so I need to try ones from trading. I enjoyed this beer.
