A crisp and refreshing lighter summer offering, this Kolsch-style beer is golden in color, light-bodied and a perfect remedy for hot weather.

Some friends of my wife and myself were over just a few nights ago and decided to pick this bottle up from a local bottle shop since the NFL games were not going our way. We figured spending our time catching up and talking was more worthwhile than watching two NFL games that were not incredibly fun to watch.

This beer pours a cloudy, light yellow/straw hue with a white frothy head that dissipates ultra slowly to a rocky layer with a neck. There is light carbonation easily visible despite the cloudiness. 4/5 The aroma is very simple and light with white bread, lemon fruit & peel, pilsner malt, and cracker really coming out nicely. A bit of yeastiness comes through as the beer warms as well that amps up the esters and breadiness a bit. 4/5 The flavor is every bit like the aroma with light caramel and cracker leading off before being back up by a fresh white bread note. A lemony sportiness with both lemon juice and peel really dominates throughout the length of the sip along with a bit of generic citrus peel backing up the lemon. The bitterness is moderate and more reminiscent of a pilsner, but it is pleasant and lingers moderately long on the finish. 4/5 This is a light-bodied beer with a light carbonation tickle up front that leads into a light drying that lingers for quite some time. 4/5 This is definitely a summer pleaser, or a beer for any time that a lighter option is desired. The focus here is very much on the lemon but it is not overpowering. 4/5

Slightly hazy yellow-gold with a large white foam head that dies to an asymmetrically thin layer with bubbly edges and creepy lace.

Smell is nutty and cheesy, almost like a non-salty/non-sour gose, with lightly bready, buttery, and grassy corn elements.

Taste is tangier than smell. Grassy and floral, with a slight astringent taste of something like iron, and grape skin. Corn and faint lemon are also present.

Crisp but fluid and smooth.
