Calumet Queen, on tap at Three Floyds on 8-17-11
Served in Imperial Pint
A: Appears clear pale gold with minimal head and some solid if sporadic lacing. Light effervescence.
S: Quite grainy, with biscuity notes dominating. I will add lemony zest. Really subtle nose.
T: The malts, again, do all the heavy lifting, bringing flavors of grain, biscuit, and toasted bread. There is some of the vinous quality that is occasionally used to describe the kolsch style. Light bitterness. Finish is crisp.
M: Light body with medium carbonation. Light and zippy on palate.
O: In Calumet Queen, Three Floyds aimed to brew a "crisp and refreshing lighter summer offering" and hit the target. In addition, I find the vinous maltiness enchanting.

Bomber into pint glass
A- Classic light lager apperance. Light straw yellow, with quick reducing head. No lacing.
S - Dare I say it, but smells like Bud heavy. Light malty sweetness, no hops to speak of
T- Tastes like a classic lager. Malty, earthy sweetness that hangs on.
M- Thin an bubbly. Bit of a lager "burn" in the mouth
O- Not my favorite style of beer. I would rather drink this than Bud, but only because it has a cooler label.
