On tap at DL day. The regular bourbon behemoth is one of my favorite beers of all time, so I was eager to see this different twist on it.
Pours a murky brownish red in color. Just a little carbonation and bubbles racing to the top, no head on the pour.
Smell is lots of oak and malt. There's a hint of subtle cherries underneath. Taste is more of the oak and some more of the cherry flavor comes through in the taste than in the nose. Very creamy and big on the mouthfeel. This is good, but I prefer the regular bourbon behemoth by far. What a great base beer the behemoth is for both these tests.

A- Dirty brown like a lot of Barleywines. About a quarter inch of tan head with aggressive pour. Fades fairly fast.
S- Carmels and malts like a standard Barleywine. Some slight cherry candy hints. Not much bourbon barrel.
T - Brown sugar, burn caramel, and candied cherries. Maybe a bit of oak and vanilla from the bourbon.
F- Medium
O- Excited to try since only 111 bottles. Cherry is still present but subtle. Some nice layers of flavor.

Bottle pour at Woodshop 8 held at The Hermosillo in Los Angeles, CA.
Thanks to John11486 for sharing this one.
Pours a hazy orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, caramel, toffee, cherry, and strong alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel and cherry flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of woody bitterness and an alcohol kick on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a solid cherry presence but this one is quite boozy all around.

Bottle shared by eorwar at DLD. Served in a DLD mini snifter.
A: Pours a hazy brown color with some orange highlights. A khaki head forms on the pour and recedes to a thin head.
S: Big barrel character with some oak, vanilla and big sweet malts. Some bourbon character with a light hop backing. Light fruity cherries as well.
T: Sweet malt base with a piney hop character. Oak,bourbon and sweet vanilla with a caramel and burnt sugar aspect. Fresh cherries on the back end.
M: Medium bodied with a chewy texture. Medium carbonation with a sweet and fruity texture.
O: I enjoy the regular BA behemoth a lot more than this, but this was still really good. The cherries were there and it was a nice touch.
