Half-pint served at the brewpub, arrives in a nondescript tumbler, medium brown with a thin white head. Aromas of big C hops at the first bell, letting you know this ain't no Newkie, followed by a bit of roasted malt. The sip starts off with a big rush of hop flavor that takes a bit of breather as the chocolate malts gently tease the taste buds and rich body gets its 5 seconds of fame. The hops return to finish the job they started, throwing the malts out of the ring and down the throat, readying you for the next swallow. All in all a very drinkable and enticing brown ale that you'll gladly welcome back for another round. (629 characters)

From the FFF website:

" A strong American Brown ale with an aggressive hop presence. A manly beer named after the manly and quintessential Steve McQueen film. "Not your father's brown ale," - A. Mason Brewer 53IBU 7.7% a.b.v. "'

Half pint sampled at the brewery in mid-June.

Pours reddish with a small white head. Like a thick brown ale. They don't put too much head on it since you're only getting 8 ounces, I guess.

Smells like Popskull only with more hops and without the grassy botanicals. Milk chocoalte malt, big bitter hops. Hops are dry, like an Irish stout.

Wow. Tastes wow. Starts with the big hops, dry and almost grassy. This *melts* into chocolate milk, which fades into more general brown ale nodes of chocolate and cereal malt.

The complexity here is off the chart. It's like you're drinking three excellent beers all at once. (851 characters)
