This pours a clear light bronze with 3 fingers of bubbly head that retains to a one inch crown and leaves nice lacing. Smell isn't overpowering - lemon grass, yeast, faint malts. Drink crisp and easy - this could be a refreshing session lager. Nice hop bite in the finish.

Overall, this is a solid lager that is smooth and easy drinkin'. Definitely worth a shot.

Im not going to say Im dissapointed but I did expect more for the price. This was the only 3 Floyds available, I wanted Zombie, so I bought it. I love Lagers and I'd give this one good marks, just not for the money.

A decent pour with a dissapointing head. I wouldnt write home to Mom about the lacing either.

The smell is a definite winner. A smooth hoppiness with a bit of "something". Whatever it is its good. Its really good. My nose isnt that good but this brew has a smooth something with the grains that will come to me eventually.

Its a pretty clear, honey, gold in the pint glass. Most definitely worth a few swirls in the light. Lagers are so pretty to look at.

There is a sweet graininess to the taste that leaves your mouth with a crisp satisfied feel. Crisp and just a tad dry. Its more satisfying then refreshing as a Lager should . No problems there. I was planning an ale with my food today, but you know what? I think this is a good food brew.

This is a good lager. I'd feel better about it if it came in $2.00 cheaper for the 6, "it was in the area of $11.99", I dont remember exactly cause Im more worried about taste and dates. By the 2nd one I might rate it higher but im going to stick with first impressions. A solid Lager, but never again for that money.

Serving Type - Bottle

Appearance - Straw yellow, 1/2 foamy head, some nice sticky lacing.

Smell - Caramel/toffee/buttery malts, lager malts for sure. Yeasty sugars, some fruits but mostly malts.

Taste - First sip starts out sweet with lager malts at center. Caramel and buttery malts are soon to follow. Has some floral fruits as a backbone, like apple and pear. Mildly bitter at the finish with a little sweet sugary note.

Mouthfeel - The malts really coat the tongue throughout the drink. Palate gets the reminding malts, along with a little hop bitterness. The aftertaste is a little sweet, hoppy dry.

Overall - Not a bad beer at all. A little different flavor for the style but still is a malt forward drink. Packs a punch for being under 6%, yet is still crisp and easy to enjoy.

12oz bottle poured into wine glass.

This pours light apricot, with a thin white head. Like many of the three floyds beers this looks like a IPA and it also has a very IPAish aroma as well. Orange comes across first in the aroma followed by a bready malt that pushes to more of a lager smell. Hints of pineapple and lemon are also there but only hints.

Much like the aroma the taste starts off all citrus. Orange and grapefruit are at the forefront, but again the bready malt comes thru and transforms this into more of lager. It finishes rather dry and bitter and the bitterness hangs on for awhile. This is a session beer if I've ever seen one. Small ABV, light mouthfeel, and very nice thirst quenching ability. This beer doesn't really fit the style it's suppose to fit into, but I think its a great beer by itself. Price could use a little work, being that it doesn't have the same heft that their other $10.99 6packs have. This was much better than I expected.
