Jinx Proof has a pretty heavy look for the style, though not so thick or heavy as to go outside of it. It's a big, ruddy burnt bronze, essentially a thick orange-brown. The slightly tinted creamy head reaches a little more than a finger in height, has good retention, and drops thick, heavy patches that are quite large and cover a good area. I'm thinking this beer must have changed somewhere along the line, because this is nowhere close to "straw yellow."
Sweet and bready malts form a strong backbone along with some orange zest and sturdy notes of floral and lightly herbal hops bitterness. The flavor is much the same, though a bit more alcohol sneaks into a semi-dry finish.
The body is definitely medium, more as the appearance would suggest than one would expect from a Dortmunder. It's a bit creamy and quite smooth, with crispness off the bat that stays the entire way.

Jinx proof lager - FFF
A: 4.5 pours amber with a thick frothy head that dissipates moderately
S: 4.25 smells like sweet malts
T: 3.5 not a lot in the hops for this one but them again it is a lager. As far as lagers go this is very drinkable. I could drink this all day.
MF: 4.0 as fas as lager go this is a decent bodied beer and is carbonated nicely.
O: 4.25 this beer is pretty good and I would definitely drink again and would recommend to others.
