Props to BA Chaney for picking this bottle up at the brewery- Thanks Brandon!

Jinx-proof pours a bright orange color with a thin off white head that quickly disappears. Decent lacing on the side of my snifter glass. Fairly hazy in appearance as well- you can't see through this brew. The nose is grain, sugar, grass, and slight hops. Maybe a little fruit in there as well. Very sweet smelling. The taste follows suit, although a little more balanced. Add biscuits and wheat in addition to the nose. Feel is light, and slighly thin, but decent carbonation and a hoppy aftertaste. Overall, a good lager that deserves a shot. I enjoyed it. Cheers.

Big thanks to Thorpe429 for giving me a bottle of this; thanks Mike! Been a want of mine for a while, since I've gone to Junx Proof in DC a few times and love FFF. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into by Bell's tulip.

a - Pours a hazy orange yellow color with one finger of fluffy white head and moderate carbonation evident. Head lasts for a few minutes and leaves an inch of head throughout drinking. Leaves light lacing on the glass as well.

s - Smells of wheat, grains, bready malts, biscuit malts, light herbal hops,a nd earthy notes. Lots of wheat and grains…decent.

t - Tastes of grains, bready malts, biscuit malts, floral hops, herbal hops, earthy malts, wheat, and light citrus hops. A tiny step up from the nose, and I like the citrus.

m - Light to medium body and low to moderate carbonation. A little thinner in the body than I would have liked, but cirsp and still very easy to drink.

o - Overall a decent lager, though nothinng mind blowing. Very crisp and easy to drink. The nose doesn't have a ton going on other than some grain and biscuit, but the taste is a little better with the fruit/citrus hops. Worth checking out once, but wouldn't break your back seeking it out.

Bottle out of a sixer picked up at Three Floyds around Christmas. Served in a Three Floyds Pint glass, courtesy of Amyliz4.

Pours a clear golden-yellow color with a big white head and a good bit of lacing on the way down. The nose brings some faint floral and herbal hops plus plenty of grainy malt. Flavor is grainy with a moderate bitterness through the finish. Light, crisp body. Solid, but not great.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass

Appearance : cloudy golden color. A vigorous pour yeilds a fluffy white head with lots of retention and superb lacing.

Smell : pleasant biscuit and malt aroma and subtle hoppiness.

Taste : very crisp and refreshing and easy to drink. Mild hop bitterness on the finish. This is a quality beer.

Mouthfeel : light body with adequate carbonation

Overall : I really enjoyed this beer and will pick it up when I have the chance. Great example of the style worth seeking out.

I got a sixer of this as a Christmas present from my brother-in-law and his wife.

Presently, this is the #8 rankied Dortmunder here on BA.

Served in a FFF shaped glass.

A: Poured a fairly murky, apricot color, with a massive 1.5 finger solid white head that retained itself throughout the session.

S: I got lots of freshly baked biscuit upfront, followed by a tinge of orange husk. This was moderate in intensity.

T: This beer emulated the taste of baked dough better than most that I've tried... Pretty astounding actually. Impeccably clean, refreshing, and with a slight fruit edge to the finish.

M: Bubbly and not a bit watered down or cheap-tasting. The lacing was moderate and the slightly bitter kick on the finish was excellent.

O: FFF is not just hop bombs and Dark Lord, and to my mind, with brews like this one, they.ve proven that they are also masters of nuance. Really nice fellas....

Poured from a 12oz bottle to my Custom Duffy Pint.

Color: Murky orange-yellow with an off white head.

Smell: Citrus (orange and peach), hops, malts and yeast.

Taste: Citrus (grapefruit, orange and peach), malts, hops and yeast.

Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, medium coarse and dry.

Overall: The aroma didn't transfer over to the taste very well. The taste didn't seemed as balanced as the aroma. Still a decent brew it just disappointed me when I took my first drink. Going to drink it FRESH next time. Cheers!

Bottle poured into a tulip glass. Needed a drink while cooking for Thanksgiving. Beer pours a hazy golden light orange color with a finger of pure white soapy head. Head dissipates quickly leaving a little light lacing. Lots of fine carbonation streaming up from the bottom. Pretty typical looking lager, though I would expect a clear color instead of the haze.

Nose is noble hops, floral and slightly grassy with a lightly toasted grain and biscuit malt backbone. Some fruity esters come up as it warms a little, bubble gum flavor.

Taste follows the nose lightly bitter noble hops, mostly floral with a light herbal and earthiness. Then it's mainly grain and biscuit malts, lightly sweet through to a clean and lightly dry finish. Some lingering floral hops, lightly on the tongue and a bit of the fruity ester flavor on the back of the tongue.

Light body, crisply carbonated and easy to drink. Perfect refreshment while in a hot kitchen.
