Appearance: Medium-sized head typical for 3F beer. Nice lacing... Pours with a nice orange color and a mild haze. Yeast still sits on top after the head starts to fade away.
Smell: You can really smell the hops and the citrus throughout. Also, a touch of pine resonates throughout... especially as the beer stays in a nice IPA glass longer.
Taste: The alcohol is definitely present, but the tastes of citrus and pine are strong the whole time. The carbonation is perfect... it really adds to the overall taste of the beer. As with all 3F beers, the hops are very strong.
Note on Taste: Getting fresh Artic Panzer Wolf is huge! As with any of the "big name" IPAs, the fresher, the better!
Mouthfeel: To me, this seems lighter for an Imperial IPA. There is some bitterness, but it is equaled out by the alcohol. Smooth all the way to the finish.
Overall: Fresh, this is one of the very best Imperial IPAs out there. If it has been on the shelf for a few weeks, it's still as strong as anything else... just loses a little kick. As with any Three Floyd's beers, this is top notch.
