Appearance: nice deep orange color. Pretty hazy, almost opaque. Two fingers head that leaves a little lacing. Head is offwhite to tan
Smell: toasty malts dominate a bit. But a nice hop medley of citrus and a touch of pine
Taste: quite complex. The maltiness is there but no where near dominate. Hops are strong. Citrusy and sometimes piney. The taste can come off a number of ways from sweet fruits to bitter pine to a mixture of the two and more. It's pretty tasty overall. Alcohol is present in a weaker but noticeable way
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lighter for a imperial ipa. Strong bitterness, but the right kind you want in a hoppy beer
Overall: great beer. Makes a reach for my favorite iipa (alchemy hour) but falls short, not by too much. The toasted malt character works well with the complexity of the hops.
