Served in a 3F pint glass. Golden, pale apricot color with a big creamy head and excellent clingies on the sides of the glass. Standard IPA aromas of lemon, grapefruit, and flowers.
Wonderful hoppy flavor. There's a big hop bite, but it is served on a nice creamy, malty backbone. Intense flavors of citrus and spice predominate, but right at mid-palate the bitter hop flavors develop a little further and your tongue takes one last pounding as you swallow.
I have to rate this one just a shade lower than Dreadnaught. There's a creamy fruity character to that one that makes it special. This one is more of a ``oh, you like hops, huh?'' kind of beer. Very hopped up, yet still balanced and drinkable.

Appearance - great yellow/ orange color to this beer. Not sure if transportation ruined the carbonation, but very little head here.
Smell - fresh and very floral. WOW lots of piney hop smell to this one.
Taste - Smooth up front, but with this great bitter taste to show the DIPA.
Mouthfeel - very smooth to drink and finishes quite well. Even though there was not a lot of head this still went down very nicely.
Overall - Very well balanced for a DIPA and a fun beer I am happy to have tried. I would try to get this beer again once I am back in the Midwest.
