From Notes, bomber poured into a pint glass.
This pours a hazy dank orange peel color, with a thin foamy head that exposes a nice amount of webbed lacing. Smells unlike most IPAs but expecting Three Floyds to stick to the norm isn’t why I love their stuff. The nose has strong peach aromas with tangy orange marmalade and hints of resinous pine. It’s pine that greets your tongue that also includes an arsenal of bitter hops, citrus and floral elements that round off a very interesting flavor. It has a really nice full body, but goes down sharply, very astringent that leaves a tingling of alcohol buzz.
Overall: Harsh. Harsh, and harsher again. It's brutal, it takes no prisoners and is an absolutely palate wrecker. An interesting experiment, but hardly a good DIPA.
