Poured from a 220z bomber into a tulip.

Look: Hazy burnt orange, with a 1 1/2 finger white foamy head that leaves lacing sticking all over the glass.

Smell: Heavy citrus sweetness, pineapple, grapefruit, mangos, peaches, slight piney resin notes.

Taste / Mouthfeel: Huge hop bitterness hits the taste buds hard upfront, followed immediately by ripe fruity sweetness heavy notes of juicy pineapples, mangos, and grapefruits. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy, finish is crisp and bitter. Sweetness is left lingering for awhile in the after taste, awesome.

Overall: An all out assault on the pallet, incredible hop presence and layers of complexity make this an incredible DIPA, one of the best I've ever had.

Served on tap into a tulip glass at 101 Bottles

A- Poured a super bright and hazy golden orange color with a nice fluffy head that left tons of chunky lace. Really incredible looking beer

S- Amazing aroma full of pineapple juice, citrus, and tropical fruit. Very pungent and powerful aroma.

T- Big pineapple, citrus, and tropical fruit flavors, as well as floral notes. Finishes with assertive bitterness, but not as palate wrecking bitter as I expected

M- This beer finishes ultra dry, definitely the driest beer I have ever had. Pretty high carbonation up front and drinks pretty smooth.

O- This DIPA is in the same class as Ruination but drinks a lot smoother and the aroma and taste of this beer are incredible and unlike anything else I have had.

received from robwestcott in beer and football fantasy football league.

a - poured a three-fingers thick tan head into a snifter that left great lacing and sheeting throughout. the body was a hazy orange-amber color; it looked dense.
s - big piney hops then some fruitiness comes through like apples, peaches, and apricots.
t - huge piney hops again with a grapefruit finish. very complex.
m - thick and coating, lip-smacking stickiness.
o - 3F is as good as it gets with DIPAs in my opinion and this one did not disappoint. i'm not sure how it isn't ranked higher in this category.

Pours a golden hazy orange with a few botches of bright white head.

Tropical citrus and some fresh pine.  Mangos and pineapple.

First thing I get is the aforementioned tropical fruit.  But, this is quickly taken over by piney, resiney, hop oil.  There's also bitter lemon zest.  Extremely piney and bitter, sucking on a hop cone here... Not what I expected from the nose.

Mouthfeel is full bodied and well carbonated.

Nice DIPA with huge hop bitterness, worth checking out.

Picked up this bomber right at the brewery. It is about 3 weeks old, poured into a Russian River tulip/wine glass thingy.

Appearance: Seems kind of cloudy. Deep golden orange, slippery lacing that slides quickly.

Aroma: Very nice and big. Deep hop aroma, pineapple comes to mind with the combo of hops and malt back. Clearly a strong flavored beer.

Taste: Hop oil rush. Malt tempers the bitterness in all the right ways to accentuate the hop flavors. First orange, then grapefruit, then pine. Excellent.

Mouthfeel/Drinkability: Great body on this one. Light enough to allow for flavor progression without being too cloying.

Overall: Another great beer from Three Floyds. Really an excellent Imp. IPA.
