Been itching to try this. Here goes:

A: Good. Not very clear, though - in fact, this beer pours rather cloudily and there are a lot of hop particles floating in the solution. The head and lacing were great, though. Dark orange in color.

S: Not as impressive as some of their other offerings, but still good. Large apricot and pineapple/tropical hop presences - also a lot of grapefruit. There's also a noticeable amount of sweet caramel malt. One of the smells, however, is a little...off. Kind of like astringent cat piss, but the smell isn't really potent compared to the other ones.

T: Good. Hops followed by a perceptible (but faint) tang of sweet caramel malt. Hops follow the nose. Of note, the pissy smell is a little stronger in the taste than in the smell. Kind of a drawback. However, you can tell that it's still a well-made beer, relatively speaking.

Of special note, this beer is nowhere near as balanced as FFF's other offerings (Dreadnaught, ZD, Alpha King, Gumballhead). Lots of hops but a very poor malt profile.

F: Good. Thick, well-carbonated, glides on the tongue.

O: A good beer with one drawback.

22oz bottle about 4 weeks old. Not sure of price as I received in a trade. Usually $12-15 around here.

A - Poured it hard. Thats the way my Spiegelau likes it. A hazy, cloudy deep golden yellow. Huge, white fluffy head disippates to a finger width.

S - Pungent. It stings the nostrils. Not really, but very musky/earthy, with a distinctly unique fruit (?) I have not noticed before. Must the marmalade mentioned on the bottle. A sweet and sour thing going on too. Very intriguing.

T - Very solid malt base, grassy hops, some citrus in the form of orange and grapefruit, tropical fruit (mango?), a slight spiceyness, and slightly bitter aftertaste. The bitterness is not reflective of the 100 IBUs it is listed at though.

M - Incredibly smooth. Like a dolphins ass. Almost creamy texture. A very solid medium body for a DIPA, probably slightly above. Average carbonation. Parts ways by leaving a nice, slick coating on your tongue.

O - The wolf has got me in it's grip. Tons of aroma. Tons of flavor. This is easily one of the most balanced, and unique DIPAs I have ever had. Hard to believe how easy drinking this beer is with all of the flavors. No hype here folks. Get it! GET IT NOW! Wait… I mean it's terrible. Especially the stuff that comes to Ohio.
