On tap at the Globe Pub in Chicago (near Begyle & Dovetail Brwys.).
I actually hit this venue because my laptop battery died darned sooned than I expected at my previous (outdoor) location. I knew I could get a crucial plug-in here.
Anyhow, that this beer seemingly has not been reviewed in _nine years_ is puzzling. The beer is a lucid yellow - the stock color of all lagers, including Japanese ones. Smell is slightly hoppy, but nothing close to what one would get from _pretty much every IPA_ Having been to Japan [fourteen times] and being relegated to consuming a typical Japanese lager (but I must recommend the Kirin tour at its brewery between Tokyo and Yokohama) any number of times {striving to experience the 'izakaya' atmosphere}, this does a superb job of replicating the flavor of a Kirin or Asahi (but _not_ a Sapporo, especially since what is now 'imported' to the U.S.A. is really coming from Ontario, Canada) without the oxidation you might perceive in a beer shipped over from Japan. I can surmise this beer will appear in other venues (perhaps particularly Japanese-angling restaurants). Taste it.
