Thanks to brewslut for delivering a growler of this from the FFF brewpub. Several Imperial pints poured and consumed on 8/16/11.
A - Poured a slightly hazy amber/orange liquid with traces of slow-rising carbonation bubbles and a finger's worth of foamy white head that receded to a thin, wispy retention and deposited a sticky smattering of lace around the glass.
S - Whoa! Tropical fruit galore with citrus notes not too far behind. Malt character is sweet with hints of caramel and toasted grains. Possibly the freshest, hoppiest pale ale I've ever smelled!
T - Flavor is dripping with hop nectar - tropical fruit and citrus at the forefront, as well as traces of grass, faint catbox and leafy hops. Complex hop profile to say the least. Sweet and grainy malt balances things out, especially in the backend, resulting in an extremely well-balanced pale ale that retains amazing hop character.
M - Light to medium bodied with a very oily texture and minimal carbonation. Lots of hop oils in this sucker! Finishes with a light lingering bitterness on the palate.
D - Ridiculously drinkable, insanely balanced pale ale... perhaps the best straight-up pale ale I've ever had. Amazing. Reminds me of Alpine's Nelson.

American pale ale
6.4% ABV 60 IBU
APPEARANCE: poured a hazy burnt amber with an off white pillowy head. Lots of sticky lacing.
AROMA: Very dank, herbal and hoppy. Bright fruits, grapefruit lots of lemon. Hints of wet grass, bready malts on the backend.
TASTE: Lots of grapefruit on the front. Very oily like a zombie stirred this with his finger. Citrus notes pop again in the middle with the hops before finishing with Carmel and pale malts.
MOUTHFEEL: medium body with medium carbonation. Slick and oily with snappy finish that leaves you wanting another sip.
OVERALL: I had to keep reminding myself this is a pale ale. It drinks wonderfully and has such a good hop presence that it could be a mellow ipa. Lived up to the hype that surrounds it. The art work is amazing!
RATING: 4.5/5 Zombie Heads!

Bottle poured into a Zeku Beer Glass. Bottled 1/22. enjoyed 3/5
A - Pours a dark orange. Minimal carbonation. 2 finger head with strong lacing. Mostly opaque but clean.
S - Citrus. Mostly orange. A little muted by comparison.
T - Hop forward by APA standards but not a hop bomb. A little malt in the background but nothing too potent. Citrusy hops. Good but nothing earth-shattering.
M - Pretty clean finish. Mild bitterness on the tongue. Semi-dry finish.
O - It's a really good APA. It's not a the revelation that people want to think it is. Although it's not super fresh, I still think a 7 week old beer should not fall off this quickly. I would definitely order this if given the opportunity.
