Bottled 3/31/14, poured into a Teku glass

A- pours a bright and clear amber color with a two-finger foamy and creamy white head that retains nicely, leaving some thick patches of lace behind

S- big kick of pungent hops up front with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, fresh cut grass, mango, mint leaves and guava. Underlying sweet malt adds a light aroma of fresh baked bread

T- tropical fruity hop notes up front mix with some grassy and floral notes, fresh mint, leafy and herbal. Malty sweetness kicks in that balances the hops nearly perfectly, adding slightly toasty flavor with a sweet finish

M- medium body with medium prickly carbonation lead to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish

O- It's impressive how they manage to pack that much hop punch into the beer, yet still keep it balanced like a good pale ale. It took me for years to land a bottle of this stuff and it's definitely one of the three best pale ales I've had to date.

Does it live up to the hype? The flavor is massive, and the aroma even more of an achievement. The balance, unparalleled.

A beautiful pour, a hazy straw color with a bright-white rocky head and serious lacing.

Intensely complex aroma of sweet/tart grapes, honey, and white grapefruit.

Flavor in the mouth brings mango and sweet muffin, at once, plus a roaring floral bitterness. Sweet bread in the middle, navel-orange, ripe tomato, Juicy Fruit gum.

This has redefined my Top 5 non-big-beers of all time: Zombie Dust at the top, then Hitachino Nest While Ale, Saison de Lente, New Belgium La Folie, and Rodenbach Grand Cru.

If you've paid the going rate ($12/6-pk.), then you've got liquid gold. Couldn't possibly find a more flavorful, impressive beer at 6.5% abv or less.

Bottle > Sniffer Glass

A - Slightly hazed orange gold with one finger of fizzy white head, little lacing.
S - Aroma is so legit. Orange juice, grape juice, lime zest, grapefruit, papaya, a little pineapple, light base malt.
T - Taste kinda falls short for me, though its incredibly drinkable, light refreshing grape and grapefruit flavor, citrus zest, mild bread malt, light grassiness.
M - Fresh, lighter and drinkable.
O - The aroma in this beer is incredible, love that part, the flavor though is good and very drinkable, just doesnt match the aroma by any means. Glad to have had it. Big thanks to my friend Chuck for hooking me up with one.
