Poured from bottle into 3 Floyd's pint glass.

Appearance: Golden orange sunset with a bright white head. About 1 finger, with decent carbonation.

Smell: Dank! Also, this is a Grapefruit, Citrus bomb (this is an all Citra hopped beer)

Taste: I get a lot of the citrus right away followed by a bitter dankness.

Mouthfeel: A little dry for me, nice carbonation. Has a bit of an aftertaste that hangs around for a while.

Overall: This is one of my favorite beers. Super dank, taste almost like weed to be honest. If you like Citra hops this is your brew. I like a lot of Three Floyd's, but this is one my favorite from them. Definitely worth trying. I get it regularly and use whatever I don't drink as trade bait.

Did a blind tasting of this, lived up to the rating without hype.

A: copper color, beautiful white head with nice lacing

S: I picked up the strongest tropical fruit aromas I've ever experienced in a beer. I picked up guava and passion fruit mainly. Some citrus. Very nice.

T: nice smooth bitterness, complex, tasty, delicious.

M: nice hop lacing along palate

O: lives up to the hype

Re-review for another shipment fresh from IN

A: golden/lt orange with one to two finger head in pint glass

S: Bright, citrus up front. Great nose.

T: I continue to see why people rave over this one. Crisp, hop forward but the balance of hops is just right with bittering and flavoring. Orange citrus notes balance the bitterness. Not crushing but plenty for IPA fans. Easy to drink.

M: Not to thin--just right. Good carbonation.

O: What can I say that hasn't been said? Closer to a traditional American IPA but who cares what you call it? Wears out other pale ales like Dale's. Fantastic-exceeded expectations.

Using my review from www.cultureglaze.com. The review hits all areas.

3 Floyds Brewing – Zombie Dust

Style: American Pale Ale

ABV %: 6.4

Overview: 3 Floyds Brewing Company has been brewing artisanal craft beer or as they call them “abnormal ales” since 2000. Zombie Dust, the king of the American Pale Ale (APA), rated #1 for the APA style on both BeerAdvocate.com and RateBeer.com. The availability is very limited due to the Citra hop variety used in this flavorful brew. In fact, until recently, this beer was only available locally at 3 Floyds Brewpub in Munster, IN as well as some local stores in the area from time to time. 3 Floyds distribution footprint is quite small, with their primary distribution in Indiana and limited distribution in IL, WI, OH, and KY.

Bottle is dated 2/18. At the time of this review the beer is only 3 days old. Poured into a 3 Floyds Teku glass.

Appearance: Slightly cloudy, orange amber in color

Smell: Floral citrus, mango, grapefruit, orange rind, and a hint of tangerine

Taste: Grapefruit, floral hops, with a tropical fruits sweetness, and a slight malty finish

Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation, very smooth and crisp

Overall: This is one of the best APA’s I have ever had the privilege of enjoying. It is extremely smooth and quaffable for an APA, though this beer does lean more towards an IPA in both ABV and hoppiness. In my opinion the only APA’s that rival the flavor and complexity, while still maintaining an amazing drinkability are beers from Hill Farmstead out of Vermont.
