12 oz. bottle poured into pint glass.

A: Looks pretty good: slightly cloudy orange....very thick white head that has good retention.

S: Definitely the strongest aspect of this beer. The nose just has an amazing tropical bouquet of grapefruit, orange, mango and passionfruit that just invites you to take a drink. This is one of the best smelling beers of all time.

T: Taste follows the nose closely. Loads of tropical fruit. You also get a bit of the floral and dankness from the hops, too...really nice. There's a bit of bready malt support throughout, but this is really a hop-loaded APA...pushes the boundaries of the APA/IPA line.

M: This is a bit too thick, in my opinion....I think a bit lighter on the palate and it would be perfect. Really FEELS like a strong IPA in this aspect.

O: Obvious top-tier APA. The hop bouquet is amazing, the nose is better than pretty much any other APA (and most IPAs/DIPAs I've had.) The only criticism (if any) is with the thick mouthfeel.

But seriously...this beer is as close to perfection as you can get with an APA.

12 oz bottle poured into wine glass. FInally get to try this stuff!

A - Pours amber with a slight ruby hue. Shows a slightly hazy straight up amber when shown to light. 1" head appeared which stuck around for a while. A fair amount of lacing stuck to the glass. Very small amount of carbonation visible. Possibly not the freshest batch.

S - Strong and unique. Lot's and LOT's of both fruity and bitter hops up front. Definitely a good amount of Citra and Cascade, as the the citrus is there, and to a higher extent, the grapefruit. Also a very faint hint of mango and strawberry. Some cat piss dankness in there too. Outstanding smelling beer.

T - Like the aroma, very unique. Certainly hoppy enough to be an IPA, but it's almost perfectly blended with the malts, which makes it outstandingly smooth. The fruitiness of the hops is there. Lot's of grapefruit and citrus. SNPA on steroids! The grapefruit is there is huge amounts, as is some floral bitterness. Slightly sweet malts can be noted in the aftertase, as can a bit of hoppy dankness. Great tasting beer.

F - Refreshing and easy on the stomach. Though I couldn't note much in it's appearance, there's a good amount of carbonation while on the tongue. No dryness or stickyness. This beer is easy to drink and is certainly sessionable.

O - An outstanding pale ale. The aroma is unreal, and the taste is almost as good. This could be an almost perfect beer, except there's something slightly sweet in the aftertaste that I can't quite put my finger on, but I'm not a huge fan of. Still though, an outstanding pale ale, is sessionable, yet still has of great taste and feel. Every time I have one of these, I appreciate it more. That IMO, is a mark of a truly outstanding beer!
