One of my favorites. Pours a orange/amber with a small head. Leaves a nice frothy ring around the glass. Smells amazing. All kinda of citrus and a small amount of grass and pine. Only a little malt comes through, the hops are straight forward. The taste has good citrus qualities, as well. The malt cuts into the bitterness and is balanced nicely. Citrus, pine, and some other tropical fruit come through on the aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, small amount of carbonation and the taste lingers on the tongue for just a little bit, which makes you want to keep drinking this all day long.

Surprised by now I have never reviewed this beer. Bought two cases of this from the brewery a few weeks ago and have been enjoying my decision ever since.

Fresh from the brewery this was just a glorious blast of citra hops and wonderful hop taste. Even after nearly a month though the beer is still incredible and seems to legitimately get better with each drink.

The color is a little cloudy and hazy which knocks it just a peg down (ok a quarter peg) and although it smells wonderful I still prefer the aromas of Dreadnaught.

Everything else this beer has though it truly extraordinary. This is the only beer that would be a double/imperial anything in my top ten of all time. This deserves all the praise it has gotten and if you think it's overrated just try another, and another and eventually you'll come around. Perhaps some day this will be as readily available as Alpha King or Gumball Head.

3 week old 12 ounce bottle from Chicago
A: dark golden, rushing carbonation with creamy offwhite head that leaves a ton of lace
S:floral, citrus both very pronounced
T: similar floral upfront with some bitter citrus notes and a punchy bitter bite but a nice complexity
M: dry, fairly heavy carbonation but smooth

Overall clearly added to the list of ipa/dipa that I could drink a bunch of all the time
