12-oz bottle to tulip. This is the third bottle consumed in my life. "Had" rating of 4.25 earlier. This particular bottle was purchased on 8/23/2013, consumed 9/17/2013.

A: orange body. the off white head's huge w/ large, soapy bubbles. the head takes a long time to settle down, leaving spiderweb lacing.

S: orange, tangerine, allium, berry.

T: orange pith, peach, w/ a kiss of berry sweetness before the grassy bitterness of the hops comes to play hardball. the hops are countered by a tangible malt sweetness at the back end though.

M: dry finish, but creamy. well-carbonated.

more impressed by this bottle than in the past.

Zombies and hops, oh god yes.

Orange with a tight white head. Smells and tastes like a beery tangerine Orange Julius, a Tangerine Julius if you will. Or super concentrated freshly squeezed Citra juice. Mildly sweet caramel support.

All 5's you say? Really? Yes really.

Even the bottle art is a 5.

To have a beer that is rated so high the expectation is high. I am finding that this is not the case with a lot of hyped up beers. It had a slight skunked smell to it, little bitter note for me. Maybe I had the bad batch. I like APA's and this did not meet the feeling that I was hoping for. Little down on this one.

First off I am local and frequent the triple f. Although zombie is definitely the creamiest PA I've had, its not the best. Viva la session beer...but that's for conversation over some fff at the brewpub.

You've all heard about the glorious zombie so I'll touch on the positive
s according to my palate. Clean, crisp citra bite, its really like its own fruit upon first nose and taste, then just before you are overwhelmed, it goes all savoy truffle.

Personally, I think it gets high marks not b/c of excellence in the genre, but rather great amongst all beer, standing alone. That said, I prefer Perm Fun and SSMF.

Happy Ales...
