I've had this beer on tap at 3 Floyds and in bottle. It doesn't disappoint in either format. Pours off golden color with off white head. Aroma is fantastic. Dank resinous hops dominate the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is intensely bitter, with some citrus and some dank taste. Just awesome.

355mL thanks to vw73182. Bottle release from the XV anniversary party. About two weeks old. Pours a clear amber orange with a towering, massive, rocky, off-white head. Sheen appearance with ridiculously insane, webby lace. Big sheets of complete lacing. Nose is huge orange juice, ultra dank mango, pineapple, mild sweet onion, pineapple flavored alcohol. My girlfriend thinks it smells like caramelized onions with meat...not necessarily bad. It certainly is not just a citrus/floral hop aroma. I would place the nose more at something like tamarind or other meaty Asian fruit we are not as familiar with. As it warms it gains more starchy character and sweet potatoes. In general, the nose starts off explosive and mellow out so no reason I see to let this decant like most beers. Taste has a nice biscuity quality to stave off astringency. Huge orange juice, ultra quenching malt character, with mild pineapple like alcohol and meaty fruits like jackfruit and durian. Very soft biscuity, quenching mouthfeel with decent amounts of butterscotch richness I get from Sculpin, Duet, and Alesmith IPA. Hot damn this is good. I’ve now had about three bottles of this over the past few days and the palate gets super quenching, small orange juice acidity, citrus fruitiness. Whoa. Like APA category demolition right here. Forget about topping this ever. Well, maybe fresh Spring Peeper. Perhaps a little boozy for the style but who cares. Would be dangerous as a session beer. 12/1/2011 8/5/8/5/16=4.2

A-Beautiful burnt orange body with a nice frothy white head.
s-Huge tropical aroma pours out of this beer. What a wonderful zesty aromatic smell.
t-For me this beer has the perfect hop profile. Amazing that is only comes from just one hop. A true hopped up pale ale.
m-Extremely clean and easy to drink with the just right amount of body.
O-Easily the best pale ale i have ever had. Just a near perfect beer. What more could you ask for on a hot summer day? Hell.. a cold winter night, who cares, its great all the time.

A: Poured a bright orange in color with yellow highlights and a nice finger worth of fluffy head that left plenty of lacing sticking to the glass.
S: lots of fruitiness upfront in the aroma consisting of peaches and pineapples, lots of earthy hoppy notes, citrus coming out too but did have some nice sweet maltiness.
T: great hop profile with woody, earthy, piney grassy qualities, lots of peachy pineapple fruits, good sweet malty backbone that had quite a nice balance alongside lemon citrus accents.
M: the brew was medium in body with a good amount of carbonation which had a sweet, fruity, earthy, hoppy, and slight bitter finish.
O: really solid pale ale from the mid west. digging it and I'm use to these west coast hop bombs.
