Pours a Hazy Gold from the bottle. Smells like a pure Hop liquid from the bottle. Maybe the best smelling beer ever. The taste is not as strong as the smell, but still great. This is a very smooth and drinkable beer, Even with all the hop flavor this is a beer I could drink while working in the sun. Great beer here by far my favorite Three Floyd's I have tried.

A- golden pale woth a white head that dissipated quickly. Leaves a good amount of lacing.

S- intense grapefruit with some grassy notes

T- grapefruit all the way through. Some hop bitterness on the backend. Does not stick to the palate.

M- well carbonated for the style and refreshing.

O- it's and APA bordering on an IPA if you ask me. It's a fantastic example of either style.

Big thanks goes out to pmoney for sending me this one as an extra in a recent glassware trade! Served from bottle into a Boulevard Smokestack tulip. Poured yellow-orange with a one finger off-white head that subsided to a half finger very slowly. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, earth, citrus, citrus hop, pine, and pine hop. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, earth, and pine hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was an excellent brew. Holy refreshing as crap Batman!!! I had this one back when it was called Cenotaph and figured I would have to revisit it now that it is bottled. And I am quite glad that I got the chance to do so. The balance on this one made it quite easy to drink and quite nice to smell as well. I actually found myself taking HUGE mouthfuls of this brew rather than sipping on it. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing, but I definitely didn’t mind. Still one of the best American Pale Ales I’ve had. Get this on your palate!!!

Nose up front of pineapple and orange zest. The taste is citrusy sweet with tangerines fading into lemon and finishing with slightly grapefruit notes. This is without a doubt the best pale ale I've ever had. For me pales are usually too mellow and bland but this guy could stack up to any IPA just without the bitter bite.

A: Golden apricot hue with a thin foamy head and great retention

S: Citrus and tropical fruits up front with just a touch of weed; but those tropical fruits--mango and pineapples especially are at the forefront; man, this smells good--so much pineapple

T: Quite dry and of course, the tropical fruits are prevalent--mango and pineapple again especially; this is grainy and bitter and fruity and really quite good

F: Great carbonation and oily and sticky, which is exactly what it should be

O: This is a tropical hop bomb; it's not nearly as citrusy and hoppy in the taste compared with what's in the aroma but it's good stuff

Aroma is amazing! Pear, guava, papaya, mango, all these other tropical scents are coming off this beer, and I love it! I know those are all hop-derived scents, but I can't even detect any malt on the nose.

Hazy golden/orange color with lots of visible carbonation and a crisp white bubbly head that quickly dissipates but leaves nice lacing.

The same tropical fruits in the aroma come across on the palate too. Big on papaya and guava, and some passion fruit. All of these flavors are bold, and right upfront but mid palate, and the finish don't really bring much of anything. These flavors are gone as quickly as they built up.

Moderate amount of carbonation, and a moderate body. The beer finishes quite dry but with no lingering flavors, it's just.. dry. While this is a good beer, I believe it is over-hyped a bit.

A: Pours a clear, golden yellow with two fingers of white head that fades into a thin cap with good lacing.

S: Loads of sweet citrus here with orange and pineapple dominating. There are grapefruit notes as well along with a grassy and almost weed-like aroma mixed in as well. Smells amazing.

T: The flavor is a lot more earthy than the aroma, with grapefruit dominating more with pine and grass flavors as well. The finish is lightly bitter and earthy.

M: Medium-light body with sudsy carbonation, this beer is light and drinkable, though slightly more watery than I prefer.

O: A great beer, overall, with the best aroma of any pale ale I've ever had. Unfortunately the flavor doesn't quite match the aroma and the body is a bit watery, but it's still a fantastic beer.
