The taste, look, feel and craftsmanship of this beer is of the charts. By far my favorite APA. The best and most sure fire way to acquire Zombie Dust is to watch the 3 Floyds websites "Beers To Go" page (http://www.3floyds.com/beers-to-go/) and making a trip to the brewery or by stalking your local liquor store (If you live the Chicago / Northwestern Indiana area), making friend s with it's employees, and learning what day and time the distributor makes his delivery. Some what pathetic behavior I know but what can I say....it's a damn good beer.

Amber-ish in color, amazingly clear. Thick white foam that leaves plenty of lacing down the glass. Monster nose with loads of citrus. Great taste, citrus, pine. Phenomenal mouthfeel, medium bodied and incredibly smooth. Leaves a nice bitterness, but certainly is balanced out. What else is there to be said? A really great beer.

Overall, very drinkable beer. Definitely feel like this one is a bit overhyped, but I'm glad I secured some through a trade. Nevertheless, there are plenty of other quality pale ales out there.

A:pours a hazy amber, nice, foamy one finger head
S:lots of melon on the nose with a crisp bite to it, smells like candy
T:decent malt backbone up front, touch of honey sweet citrus and a final quiet whisp of bitterness in the finish
M:mouthfeel is a little juicy and syrupy (for the style not in general)
O: better than any pale ale has the right to be, it is like candy, very juicy and though it tastes like beer it doesn't feel like I'm drinking beer, it feels like i'm biting into a piece of fresh fruit after walking through a desert, my first three floyds non-collabo beer, kudos floyds keep it up

I really wanted to love this beer because of the hype. While this beer was extremely tasty and well made, it did not live up to the hype for me.

Was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Very smooth on the palate. Finishes clean with very little hop bitterness. One of the best Pale Ale's that i've had. Finally a beer that earned its score.

I'm a sucker for citra hops...with that being said, this is about as perfect as a pale as you can get.
A: hazy orange...not much visible carbonation and really small retention
S: citrusy / tropical fruit
T: follows the smell -- fruity with a nice hop bitterness left on the tongue
MF: smooth...little bitterness left on your tongue. not much carbonation.

Appearance and bouquet are both nice and promising. In taste, it has all the hallmarks of a top tier APA, but is too tightly wound IMO. It does open up a bit as it warms, but the bitter bite overrights many of the appealing, subtler notes, which ultimately detract for my taste. That said, it has amazing personality for a single hop APA and is a tribute to it brewers. If it was in my distro I'd keep a ready supply on hand.

Served on tap. Smooth, light, citrusy with minimal carbonation and a clean finish. Nice example of a single-hop citra APA but pales in comparison to Pseudo Sue in my opinion.

Poured a nice bright deep orange color. The nose is full of citra invoking some fruity lemony citrus and some tropical fruits. I think the bottle was only a week old at most. There is a nice balance between the bitter and fruitness of the beer; I'd say citrus more in the line of orange and grapefruit. Overall a really good IPA.

What can be said about this beer that already hasn't been said. It sets the gold standard for its style.

It's taste has so much character without been heavy handed. There's some citrus, lemon, orange, and just a touch of grapefruit but it's so refreshing and has such a clean finish.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pub pint glass. Marked 7/23/15, not sure if that's the brewed on or drink by date. Big thanks to Charlie for throwing in this extra in our trade!

L- pours a hazy orange with about a finger of white head that quickly fades leaving some lacing

A- reeks of Citra hops! Strong tropical smell (mango I think is what I'm mostly picking up)

T- no really strong particular flavors here, just some mild tropical fruit and bitterness

M- good mouth feel, average carbonation

O- it's a good decent beer, I love a beer that reminds me of a bag of hops, but the flavor was lacking. It may just be an older bottle. I will definitely revisit this one in the future and see if it lives up to the hype. Definitely prefer pseudosue over this.

Very happy to have gotten this in a trade recently. A beer I've wanted to for a long time...It lived up to the hype, completely. Amazing all around job with this beer. Thank you FFF.

A- Bright orange with slight haze. Decent lace with lots of head.

S- Citrus, pineapple and grapefruit rind. Slight mandarin orange.

T- The Citra hops here provide a clear citrusy grapefruit profile. Flavor is fantastic, and the hop bitterness is balanced perfectly to finish with the malt. Pineapple, orange rind and slight, slight pine.

M- Feels fairly dry, with a little carbonation keeping the beer bright. No residual bitterness or hop resin on aftertaste.

O- Best single-hop beer I've ever had. Just a fantastic, well-rounded beer from 3F.

I like this beer a lot, tho it's not aggressive and bitter enough to start a true love affair. Probably the best part was the fun we had hunting for this elusive beauty and the total surprise in where it was found, Carson's Ribs in Chicago:) Cheers!

A - A fine, eggshell, two-finger head forms at the top of my cup, and it looks to have some very solid staying power (and so it does, even as she nears completion, the beer still has a good centimeter of foam holding strong). The coloration is an opaque amber, with bits of light orange and yellow lining the perimeter. Lacing is present to a certain extent.

S - Oh my. Just delightfully fruity, with almost a tropical fruityness. Peach, pineapple--HUGE pineapple actually--grapefruit, with some pear and caramel in there as well. Smells just divine, I barely even want to drink the thing it smells so nice. It's a big smell to be sure, and it is right on.

T - That is fiiiine just fine. There is a little bit of bitterness and fruitiness with the malt establishing a clear presence now as well. There's some orange peel on there to be sure, grapefruit, maybe even a little bit of tangerine all of it wrapped up in a kind of musty resiny goodness that is complex and subtle and refined. Just a fantastic flavor that changes a little bit with each sip and each degree change in temperature.

M - Mouth feel is smooth, lightly dry, and just a little bit bitter. Feels very fine indeed.

O - Outstanding beer, and a courageous example of an American Pale Ale, probably the best of the style I've ever encountered. Definitely lives up to the hype in my mind and then some. Big time tip of the cap to 3 floyds, they just only know how to produce stupendous beers.

Draft at pies&pints; nonic pint.

Appearance: clear pale orange with 1 finger bright white head. Little visible carb, not much retention. Very nice lacing.

Aroma: tropical and resin; nothing distinct, but more potent than white rajah or sculpin.

Taste: light tart arrival, bold hoppy citrus mid-palate; incredibly light and fresh. Bitter finish, but cleans up really quickly; little residual bitterness.

Mouthfeel: light to mid bodied; little carb; clean as can be, with no astringency.

Overall: perhaps the world's best "patio beer." Hoppier than any pale I've ever had and most IPAs, but hoppiness does not linger. Kind of like an IPL. A lot like southern tier live. Would drink this everyday May to September if possible.

Great beer but not as good as I was anticipating and I love 3F beer. PseudoSue is the best PA in the Midwest and honestly I ld rather have a two hearted than another ZD.

Yes kind of forgot this was an APA but it is a great beer in it's own. This beer poured a darker orangey tan color. A little more malty than I expected for an APA. This IMO is closer to an IPA than I expected but style not with standing this is a great beer.

Look - A light amber color, translucent; small amount of head

Smell - It's a good thing smell doesn't always correlate to taste in beers because the smell of this is a little underwhelming (read: mild)

Taste - In your mouth is where this beer shines, while the look and smell aren't anything special, this is one of the better American pale ale's and the taste is excellent. Very balanced and easy to drink. Citrusy with a light hop flavor to it. This one is not bitter at all, but believe me it will still grab your attention at first taste. Tastes are citrusy with hints of many sweet fruits, with a mild amount of hops and malts

Feel - So smooth - lightly carbonated. Goes down easily.

Overall - Smooth and complex without being overwhelming. Great balance and a great beer.

Have to be careful and rate this one as an APA as it's definitely one of those fringe offerings that blurr the line a little bit. I only review pales if I had the chance to try them within a month of bottling and though this one barely made the cutoff I was still a little disappointed how quickly this one faded (can only assume degradation given the numerous high reviews). The typical citra profile gave way to a more grassy profile but I did enjoy the malt profile, bready and light without much lingering sweetness. Still a great beer just wish I had it younger, will be on the hunt for more to give this the review it really deserves.

Pours a perfect deep golden color. Has a great floral hoppy aroma. Has a light mouth feel. The flavor is very floral hoppy but well balanced with a smooth finish. This is my 4th time drinking this beer and the first time I really enjoyed it. As a pale ale its great, but only as a pale ale. This beer has grown on me, it just has too much hype.

Finally getting to try it. Best extra I've ever received! Pours out a clear golden orange color. Smells of citrus, pine, and some malt sweetness. The taste is mostly hoppy, juicy goodness. Wow. Tastes like an ipa. Such a wonderful mouthfeel. Probably my favorite PA currently

Thanks to awdturboiv, I had this just 7 days after it was bottled. Definitely best tasting single hopped pale ale I've ever had. The only APA that I've had that's been better is HF's Edward, but they are totally different tasting beers with different profiles. The hype surrounding this beer is legit. I can still practically taste it a day or two later. This could totally be a desert island beer for me.

Enjoyed 2 weeks off the shelf
Nice amber colored pour with lasting head
Slight aroma of hops at first and then citrus
Taste similar to smell, light on the hops and stronger citrus with a hint of lime
Soft carbonation with a light feel
Drinkable all day
