Poured a dark brown color into a pint glass. No light gets through, a medium sized tan head with good retention and some spotty lacing.
Aroma is....hops!!! This is a hoppy beer with some roasted and smoky malts. Nice strong aroma...maybe not a typical Porter aroma, but good all the same.
Taste is very good. Roasted and smoky malts take a slight back seat to some robust hoppy bitterness. part of the balance battle is the honey which adds some riichness and sweetness to the mix.
Mouthfeel is crisp and also rich. The hops add a good "bite" / dimension to the mouthfeel, but there is also some malty and honey sweetness. No hint of alcohol.
This is a very enjoyable and drinkable beer
