A-Clear yellow some carbonation, one finger head.

S-Grass, wheat, lemon, some hops, earthy notes and bread.

T-Grass, lemon, mild hops and bitterness. Then in the finish there is a flavor I can't pin does but it throws off the balance. Maybe bubblegum?

M-Medium bodied, well carbonated, semi-dry finish and crisp.

O-The balance is thrown off, not sure what the flavor is but it hurts the beer.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass.

A - light yellowish-orange with almost no head after the pour and little carbonation.

S - sweet malt notes and light citrus aroma.

T - malt and an intense grapefruit bitterness; fairly straight forward.

M - A medium body and present alcohol feel.

O - a fairly straight forward Pilsner with a little more alcohol and a bit less skunky that usual for a pilsner. Good beer for a hot dog and ball game; though not what I usually choose for a type of beer.

#5 1/24/14

A brew that's bright as well as mildly hazy sits a sort of medium yellow color in the glass. The head is pure white, neither large nor small but strong enough to put down some patchy lacing as it makes its way down the walls of the glass.
Even this pilsner has a distinctively 3 Floyds sense to it. It fits the style but stretches it a bit and sort of plays with it while remaining true. Biscuit and herb are the strongest notes, an even mix of hops and malts, and it has a brightness a pils really needs. A nice sulfur note and leaf add to it. It's a good size without going overboard, as big as a pilsner gets while identifying very much as one. Some are deeper, some have more complexity, some are more finely tuned, but this is undoubtedly good beer even if outside this brewery's wheelhouse, so to speak.
The feel is appropriately bright and crisp in a light-medium body. It's semi-dry without getting course, staying clean.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass.

A - murky, light orange with a very minimal head from the pour.

S - malty with other notes that I couldn't quite pick up.

T - very malty with some bitterness that I picked up on.

M - A medium to light body that wasn't overwhelming but very solid.

O - Pilsners are typically not my style, but this was very good for what it was. I would definitely recommend trying it and especially if pilsners are up your alley.
