650ml bottle. Poured into a snifter 9/27/2014.

A- Burnt clear orange body, two finger white head that sticks around for a long while.

S- Bread, biscuits, a hint of caramel, floral and earthy.

F- Very grainy breadiness, a little caramel, crisp earthy, grassy notes with a bitter floral finish. This is very hoppy but in a different way than Three Floyds' other offerings. It's a hopped up pilsner which I can appreciate.

M- Medium bodied, a bit too thick even for an imperial pilsner. It's also very bitter with a floral, earthy bitter finish, a consequence of the overly generous hopping regimen.

O- Solid, tasty and a nice one to split with friends. Price isn't right, but if you like your big pilsners with a lot of hops, this is one you should consider buying.

poured 22oz bottle into snifter.

A - Pours a hazy orange, with 2.5 fingers of pilowy white head. Good amount of lacing on glass.

S - Aromas of heavy pilsner malt and yeast. Some grassy notes and grain mingles with the yeast. Hops are light with some earthy and herbal qualities. There is a sweetness to it and a bit of citrus and candied orange.

T - Nice and malty up front with a yeast and grain. Moves into the grassy notes with the herbal earth like hops. Hints of citrus and candied orange can be found on the finish.

M - Crisp and well carbonation, and medium bodied. Not as clean, but that is okay in this big beer.

O - Very nice Imperial Pils, that is not to be confused with an IPL. Those looking for hops should look at other offerings. This one will satisfy the malt lovers.

Pours a deep golden yellow, slightly opaque with a gentle orange hue.

Pine, citrus, some spice, candied and toasted malts.

Sticky, slightly pale ale-esque with a spicy citrus nose and toasted lager malt backbone.

Mouthfeel is sticky and thick, great for a lager.

Overall, a great example of the Imperial Pilsner and would drink again!

From a bomber into a pint glass. Color is rich gold with thick white foam and thick sticky lace on the glass.

Smell is heavy on malt and citrus

Taste follows well with a nice hop balance. Just a touch of spice as well.

Very light mouth feel. I would say the lightest for a 7+ abv beer that I can ever remember having. Super refreshing beer that would be awesome on a hot day!

Poured from a 22oz bottle to my Off Color Brewing tulip

Thanks to my neighbor John for the beer.

Well, pils are usually not my style of beer. I like 3 Floyd's and I like beer, and this was free beer.
The pour is orange with a nice white head. Very good retention and lacing. Looks like the classic beer look that you would see in commercials.

Smell is crisp and malt. Slight spice and citrus. Smells good

Taste is nice. Got a good fruit thing going with the malt. Very light, malty, citrus, and a slight black pepper spice.

Overall, if this was in cans, I'd drink this mowing the grass. This is a perfect outside, mindless beer. It has lots of taste and can be complex if you concentrate on the flavors. It can also be as simple as a Busch light with tons more flavor. Thirst quenching and satisfying. Floyd's should put this in cans or six pack of bottles. I could drink this all night, but at 7.2%abv I'd be shit faced in no time.
