Shared at the Atlanta tasting with all 4 BA variants and 04-11 DL. Reviewing from notes.
A- What a surprise, it's black! Again, not much of a head, just a few dark brown bubbles.
S- Sweet cookies fresh out of the oven. Fig and other dark fruits- plum mostly. Toffee and caramel with some chocolate. Finishes with some light grape aroma, assuming that to be a nice contribution from the brandy.
T- Smooth, very smooth! Again, sweet overall flavor with a more pronounced alcohol flavor from brandy that adds incredible sweet complexity. Dark fruits like cherries, plums, and even black raspberry? Finishes with a little roasty chocolate. Full body, no carbonation, but this one does come off creamy, unlike the Muerta.
O- Good beer, not amazing and not worth price. This was 3rd favorite for myself and most at the tasting. Brandy really brought out some dark fruits.
