A- dark dark brown with hints of ruby when held up to the light. tan head that fades quickly.
S- fruits, roast, coffee, little maple syrup
T- SWEET. Almost in the realm of Sweet Horizon up front, with a very similar taste on the nose. Ruby port flavors, white russians, bread pudding, and the coffee is certainly there in a very subtle and well blended way. This is very complex and the flavor really evolves over time. Swish it around in your mouth, fer chri'sakes. I certainly get cherries, as well. Just awesome.
M- It coats your tongue and then sticks around. Keep a can of Busch as a pallet cleanser between sips. Has a nice carbonation; not mildly carbonated like some of the beers in the style, but certainly not overcarbed either. Thinner then I expected.
O- I can see why this beer is such a big deal. Not my favorite RIS, but definately an impressive specimen. This is a beer that I could enjoy once a year. Oddly enough, it only comes out once a year. What a coincidence. Try it, its worth it.

First bottle was opened day of and it was Good Very sweet and full of flavor.
I opened another at 1 month and 3 months and as it ages the sweetness drops
and the flavors open up..
Color: is a where it should be for a Imperial Stout.
Aroma: no surprise gets better with age.. coffee. vanilla.
taste: First bottle sweet sweet coffee vanilla some alc heat..
@3 months deep coffee with nice vanilla hints and just enough sweetness
Mouth feel : again thickoil like a Imperial stout should be.
